On a hot and humid North Carolina day, over 20,000 people gathered outside the NC Association of Educators in the capitol city of Raleigh. These people were a mixture of teachers, students, and parents from across the entire state, all there to convince the North Carolina legislature to increase teacher pay and funding for education in general. These thousands of happy, determined faces marched from the NCAE building, across downtown Raleigh, to the Legislative building. It was so inspiring to see all of these people from across the state come together to make a difference in public education.
