This is an ongoing personal project to document the rural and once-rural areas around the rapidly growing Research Triangle in central North Carolina. Vast stretches of land once belonging to family farms, forests, and small towns are quickly being flattened and developed into cookie-cutter subdivisions and shopping centers. My goal is to capture images of these unique relics of a quickly fading era in central North Carolina before they disappear forever.
